Why We Love Podcast Publications

If you read our recent Podcast Rats article, or have been following us for a while, you know that our brains are 90% podcast recommendations and 10% Málà Project. One thing we know for sure is that the path to podcast discovery is long and winding. There are many things that lead to a consumer finding their next favorite show. In the last issue of our State of Podcast Discovery series, we shared links to approximately a ton and a half podcast recommendation newsletters.

In this second installment, we’re zooming in on a specific layer of the podcast industry publication ecosystem: creator insights and company / brand-owned newsletters. Sometimes these newsletters do recommend shows, but that’s not necessarily the point of them. They help creators understand complex storytelling concepts, share new tools, job opportunities, and so much more.

But at their core… podcasts. Love of podcasts and podcasting.

What follows is a LONG list of newsletters. It’s non-exhaustive, though, because we definitely missed some, forgot some, or don’t know about them yet. Most are in English, though we know great work is happening globally… and we want more of it (send it to us please, leave a comment).
